horion provide CAPS based assessment and curriculum for learners in Grade 1 – 9. horion provides the school-based assessments needed to build a portfolio of evidence for every learner. Our offering assists parents in reaching all the required outcomes as outlined by the national curriculum.
Our experienced teaching team have thoughtfully designed an academic programme built on current best practices in education to maximise the home learning experience for each child that studies with horion.
horion employs the services of qualified teachers, as per the policy requirements, to develop all the assessments. We provide parents with progress reports for their children. The progress reports and portfolios of evidence can be submitted to the Provincial Education Department at the end of every phase.
Registration with horion ensures that learners follow the national curriculum with formal assessments on the required level throughout all the phases. We equip parents with the materials needed to be the primary educator. Our learning OBJECTIVES offer guideposts for the development of core competencies; students are given a variety of ways to demonstrate their mastery of skills and knowledge.
